I know this is far from a fashion blog, but I had a girlfriend's bridal shower on Sunday and for the first time in a long time, I got dressed in something other than yoga pants and put on make up:

Def one of the best shower gifts ever received -- fresh organic basil plant with a homemade basil pesto recipe card. -- If you're interested: Combine basil, garlic, pine nuts, & oil in food processor & pulse until smooth. Mix in cheese & salt. Eat on anything & everything.

while I'm snuggled up in front of our fake fireplace with a cup of tea .. & how I've been spending most (any) free time lately, reading The Pillars of the Earth.
